HEROs History
HERO Software was founded in 2020 by Michael Kessler and Philipp Lyding. The idea of launching software developed specifically for tradespeople came to the two founders through their first start-up called Energieheld. This was intended to simplify and accelerate energy-efficient building renovations for everyone involved through modern processes in order to have a positive impact on achieving Germany's climate targets. To this end, the renovation platform put tradespeople in touch with homeowners and at the same time offered advice on all aspects of energy-efficient building renovation. Energieheld became the leading portal in Germany with this offering. Over time, however, it became apparent that the internal processes of the trade businesses were the biggest bottleneck in many renovation projects. Either because there was no software at all or only very inadequate or outdated solutions were in use.
Michael and Philipp decided to leave Energieheld behind and build a modern, cloud-based software solution for trade businesses together with the existing team and know-how. A real operating system just for tradespeople that helps them to manage the administrative work in their trade business more efficiently. Since the company was founded, Michael and Philipp and their team have been pursuing one goal: to offer the best cloud software to craft businesses.
