Hottgenroth Software was founded in 1996 by Karl-Heinz Hottgenroth. In the mid-90s, "Energy Advisor" established itself as the market leader in Germany. The software for energetic building planning has become an important tool for planners, architects, energy consultants and craftsmen. In 2002, Hottgenroth took over ETU Software GmbH, which expanded the product range to include TGA as well as data acquisition software for the implementation of VDI 3805. Already since April 2015, the product range also includes the CAD software RUKON for ventilation system planning. Today, additional locations throughout Germany as well as in Austria strengthen the Cologne software house: currently, the group of companies has more than 200 employees and over 60,000 customers.
In 2021 the Hottgenroth Software GmbH & Co. KG was transformed into an AG (stock corporation) in order to accommodate the strong growth of the company. The Hottgenroth Group wants to face the future together with its customers: actively, with foresight and sustainably.
The Hottgenroth Group develops commercial, technical and CAD software as well as Internet applications on the following topics: energy efficiency, construction and administration as well as building services engineering and design.
The HottScan 3D-roomscanner broadens the Hottgenroth group´s portfolio by another ground-breaking new approach to 3D room modelling. The HottScan room scanner aquires any desired geometry with precise laser measurements.
