SEW® GmbH, based in Kempen, North Rhine-Westphalia, is a leading company in the field of heat recovery. Since its foundation in 1983, SEW® has specialized in the development and production of highly efficient closed-loop systems. These systems are used in modern and future-oriented air and air conditioning technology for various areas of application.
To this day, SEW® has retained its innovative character. The high heat recovery rates, combined with multifunctional use of the GSWT® technology, enable efficiency values of 1:20 to over 1:100, i.e. up to 100 parts of heat, cold and recooling are generated with one part of electricity.
The GSWT® technology can be amortized immediately or in a very short time due to the possible substitution of heating, cooling and recooling outputs. In addition, the high redundancy of the GSWT® technology can enable additional cost savings in other trades or on the building structure.
In addition to the use of highly efficient energy saving systems, SEW® also promotes the high-quality design of air and air conditioning systems and uses GSWT® technology to reduce CO2 emissions.
The flexible GSWT® technology is the first choice for maximum air hygiene and 100% outside air operation. The GSWT® systems can be used for both new systems and retrofits/renovations.
For construction projects that are certified according to DGNB, GSWT® technology offers the special opportunity to achieve corresponding advantages with low connected loads and a variety of possible extensions.
Areas of application
The innovative products from SEW® are used in various sectors, e.g.:
- Industry
- Hospital buildings
- Hygiene facilities/laboratories
- Data centers
- Swimming pools
- Municipal buildings
- Universities/institutes
- Banks/insurance companies
Renovation of existing buildings
SEW® scores particularly well as a system provider with advice, planning, assembly and commissioning for historic buildings. Thanks to the modular design and the ability to dismantle the individual heat exchangers, the technology can also be installed in existing ventilation centers that are difficult to access. The adaptation is based purely on the conditions of the building and is also suitable for free installation (e.g. in the concrete duct or intake structure).
By planning the entire GSWT® systems, including the adjacent interfaces, SEW® assumes system responsibility for the entire system. On-site assembly is carried out by the company's own staff. In addition, all additional services, such as glycol filling and on-site commissioning, are carried out by trained service technicians. SEW® provides significant support in coordinating the adjacent trades (heating, cooling and measure/control/regulate).
