How can the heat transition in existing buildings really succeed? This ISH 2025 presentation takes the audience on a hands-on and engaging journey through the challenges and opportunities of energy retrofitting – from ownership structures and building analysis to specific measures and funding options. Topics include efficient heating systems, realistic retrofit roadmaps, key investment moments and the right level of insulation. Using a wide range of examples – from single-family homes to multi-storey buildings – it becomes clear: climate neutrality is achievable with early planning, inclusive communication and the right partners. A motivating yet critical look at the current state of energy consulting – with one clear message: the time to act is now.
