How Do Germans Perceive Their Bathrooms? To what extent do Germans already see their bathroom as a living space? What is still missing, and what are they willing to change and invest in? How do they define sustainability in their private bathrooms, and what do they expect from them? With #germanbathrooms, the German Sanitary Industry Association (Vereinigung Deutsche Sanitärwirtschaft e.V., VDS) has conducted a comprehensive baseline study on the current state of private bathrooms in Germany. In collaboration with the market research institute forsa, the study examines the condition of existing bathrooms, the extent of renovation needs, and the vision for an ideal bathroom. It also explores where and how bathroom fixtures are purchased and how consumer information behavior is evolving. For the sanitary industry, the study offers valuable and representative insights. VDS Managing Director Jens J. Wischmann will present the key findings in an inspiring keynote, taking the audience on a journey through the German bathroom landscape.
