LUNOS launches LUNOtherm-G, an innovative further development on the market

LUNOS Lüftungstechnik GmbH & Co. KG is pleased to announce the official approval of the new facade element, LUNOtherm-G. Distinguishable by its straight design as opposed to the LUNOtherm-S, LUNOtherm-G received approval from the German Institute for Standardization (DIBt) on July 8, 2024.

New Design for Maximum Flexibility

LUNOtherm-G represents the latest development in the LUNOtherm facade element series. While LUNOtherm-S is characterized by its distinctive L-shape, LUNOtherm-G features a straight design. This design change enables even more flexible positioning and expanded installation possibilities, providing planners and builders with greater freedom in facade design.

Enhanced Sound Insulation and Improved Handling

LUNOtherm-G has been optimized for outstanding sound insulation and is characterized by its particularly low weight. This facilitates easier handling both in logistics and on construction sites. The facade element is made of expanded polypropylene (EPP), a material known for its structural strength, excellent sound absorption, and superior thermal insulation. Additionally, it is 100% recyclable.

Flexible Installation Options and Extensions

LUNOtherm-G is integrated as the final element in the insulation layer of external thermal insulation composite systems. The air vent can be positioned in various locations, such as in the window lintel, window reveal, or below the window, allowing easy combination with roller shutter boxes. For even higher sound insulation values, the silencer 9/SD-LS can be added.

Significant Approval and Milestone

With the DIBt approval of LUNOtherm-G, this facade element is only the second of its kind on the market to receive this important certification, underscoring the product's high quality and reliability. LUNOS received its first DIBt approval in 2005 for LUNOtherm A and B.

Suitable for installation in an ETICS approved by the building authorities. Installation with over-insulation or under-insulation possible.
