(Almost) everything is new with our popular fan for interior bathrooms and toilets, the ER EC: Three new covers in different designs bring the latest technology to your home with NFC control. Optimize your indoor climate and enjoy the highest comfort and efficiency!

However, the ER EC fan itself remains the same. The ER product line, available in surface-mounted or flush-mounted versions, is the perfect choice for the reliable removal of used and humid air in interior bathrooms and toilets. And there are also news regarding fire protection with the ER EC!

What is NFC? NFC stands for “Near Field Communication,” which means communication between two devices over a short distance. With NFC, two compatible devices can quickly and securely exchange data and information wirelessly and contactlessly. The most well-known example is probably contactless payment with a smartphone. MAICO is now adapting this technology for controlling ventilation systems.

Three new cover variants for the ER EC The three new covers offer a variety of adjustable parameters to perfectly adapt the fan to individual needs. The three new cover variants with NFC module differ as follows:

• ER-AK NFC: Comfort version with time module

  • Control with time module
  • Full load operation with adjustable switch-on delay 0-120 sec and run-on time 0-30 min
  • Adjustable interval operation 0-24 h, ventilation duration adjustable 10-60 min
  • Adjustable volume flow at base load 0; 15-100 m³/h
  • Adjustable volume flow at full load 0; 15-100 m³/h

• ER-AH NFC: Version with humidity control and intelligent time module

  • Control via humidity sensor with time module
  • Full load operation with adjustable switch-on delay 0-120 sec and run-on time 0-30 min
  • Adjustable interval operation 0-24 h, ventilation duration adjustable 10-60 min
  • Adjustable interval volume flow 15-100 m³/h
  • Intelligent humidity control: Fan monitors and ventilates automatically (manual mode possible)
  • Adjustable volume flow at base load 0; 15-40 m³/h
  • Adjustable volume flow at full load 0; 40-100 m³/h

• ER-AB NFC: Version with motion sensor and intelligent time module

  • Control via motion sensor and time module
  • Full load operation with adjustable switch-on delay 0-120 sec and run-on time 0-30 min
  • Adjustable interval operation 0-24 h, ventilation duration adjustable 10-60 min
  • Adjustable interval volume flow 15-100 m³/h
  • Adjustable volume flow at base load 0; 15-100 m³/h
  • Adjustable volume flow at full load 0; 15-100 m³/h

All three covers are connected to the actual ER EC fan via a plug & play connection cable and are immediately ready for operation.

Additional options by replacing the cover The control and operating unit is located in the respective cover. Due to the easy interchangeability of the cover, a different control can also be installed later without any problems. Simple and practical if, for example, the ventilation variant with motion sensor is desired later.

Further advantages at a glance:

• Perfectly shaped: The flat cover in an elegant design fits any ambiance, can be rotated by 5°, and can thus be optimally aligned.
• Absolutely user-friendly: The LED filter change indicator with reset function enables proper hygienic operation. The filter can be replaced without tools.
• Integrated control/operating unit: Further individual settings such as switch-on delay, run-on time, interval, or volume flows can be made via the MAICO@NFC app.

Configuration and Control via MAICO@NFC App

With the new and intuitive Maico@NFC app, you can conveniently configure your ER EC wirelessly and contactlessly. All you need is one of the new ER EC covers with NFC module and a mobile device with the MAICO@NFC app. Thanks to NFC technology, the fan’s data can be transferred and read in the app. Configurations of the parameters can be made at any time using the app.

New housings with fire protection

Furthermore, two new housings now ensure the fire protection of the ER EC. Both housings can be directly combined with the ER EC and ER EC 2.1 fan insert, so no replacement kit is needed for the use of the fan.

• With maintenance-free fire protection shut-off device against fire transmission K90-18017.
• Metal exhaust nozzle DN 75/80 with metal shut-off flap and automatic release device.
• Metal shut-off flap also serves as a cold smoke flap.

• ER-UPD EC

  • Flush-mounted housing for accommodating an ER EC & ER EC 2.1 fan
  • Installation in apartment kitchens, bathrooms, and toilets.
  • With maintenance-free fire protection shut-off device against fire transmission K90-18017.
  • Metal exhaust nozzle DN 75/80 with metal shut-off flap and automatic release device.
  • Metal shut-off flap also serves as a cold smoke flap.
  • Easily removable non-return flap, allowing easy and quick cleaning.
  • Installation inside and outside the shaft in wall and ceiling is possible.
  • Approved for exhaust direction upwards, right, or left.
  • Low installation depth of the flush-mounted housing and cover.
