This vital digital exchange is facilitated now by the newly expanded website www.building-technologies.messefrankfurt.com. Here Messe Frankfurt, as a leading organiser and experienced operator of its own commercial building infrastructure, shares its expertise in building technologies – and invites experts and makers of the built world of tomorrow to join in.

As a digital supplement to the physical exhibition business, the Building Technologies website addresses the entire building technology trades and the real estate industry. The website is to become an information hub for connecting these innovative technology and business industries.

Building Technology Experts: Expertise live and streamed

With the Building Technology Experts dialogue formats, Messe Frankfurt is generating the usual high-profile relevance for the topics and representatives of the building industry – digitally and with a series of infotainment expert audio podcasts and videos. The Building Technology Experts' microphones and cameras have already captured and streamed leaders and doers such as AI crack Chris Boos, building and security specialist Carsten Meißner (Siemens), centre operator with a sense for robotics and pilot projects Dr Christian Schlicht (ECE) and design curator Lutz Dietzold from the German Design Council.

In live mode, the Building Technology Experts will meet in virtual panels created in cooperation with the ecosystem of innovative real estate industry BUILTWORLD. They take place in relaxed manner, as an information breakfast before the office starts between eight and nine o'clock and with lively participation from the innovative real estate and PropTech industries.

Arouse interest and attract new contacts

“With the Building Technology Experts we can maintain valuable contacts and create new ones for our customers in the various industry segments," says Rebekka Wolz, Coordinator Target Group Communication with Messe Frankfurt. "In addition to the approximately 300,000 contacts per month on the websites and social media channels of Building Technologies trade fairs, more than 200 contacts are added per panel with our partner BUILTWORLD, for example, the majority of which are new. And our podcasts are also played around 800 times a month by a growing fan community."

The formats also strengthen the loyalty of established experts in the long term. Andreas Lücke, spokesman for the Fuel Cell Initiative and Managing Director of the BDH (Federal Association of the German Heating Industry): "I have participated twice as a speaker in the online discussions – the format convinced me. It enables professional exchange with experts from wider circles in building planning in the real estate sector".
