Design that adapts across a lifetime: At ISH 2025, Christian Büttner of Kaldewei presents how inclusive bathroom design can be both aesthetically striking and functionally universal – sustainable, stylish, and accessible without compromise.
The core of the talk is the collaborative project between Kaldewei and the University of Art and Design Offenbach. Under the title CIRCUS – a blend of "Circularity" and "Usage" – design students created future-ready bathroom concepts meant to support users throughout various life stages. From flexible washbasins and adaptive bathtubs to low-water fog showers, the concepts show how accessibility can be seamlessly integrated into beautiful, innovative product design.
