Conor Murray…
…brings over 35 years of experience in the design and construction of cleanrooms and biosafety labs, with a focus on oversight and consulting since 2007. He has played a key role in shaping cleanroom standards globally, representing Ireland and the National Standards Authority of Ireland (NSAI) as Head of Delegation and a subject matter expert in ISO/TC209 and CEN/TC243 working groups since the early 2000s. Conor is the Chair of the HealthCare Services Committee for NSAI, where he supports industry initiatives and advises the Irish government on healthcare-related standards. He also serves as the Convenor of ISO/TC209 WG2 on microbiological control and was the past Convener of the EN 17141 standard, published in 2020.
A prominent member of ISPE, PDA, and ASHRAE, Conor has held leadership roles including past President of the ASHRAE Ireland chapter and current representative for the European region on technology transfer. He contributes to several ASHRAE global committees, including those on Technology Transfer (CTTC), Environmental Health (EHC), and Technology Research (Research Administration Committee). Conor is also a key figure in various ASHRAE technical committees such as TC2.4 on Air Cleaning Devices and TC9.11 on Clean Spaces.
Currently, Conor serves as Chair of the Irish Cleanrooms Society (ICS) and the International Confederation of Contamination Control Societies (ICCCS). He is also an international lecturer on topics including Energy Management, the latest updates to Annex 1, new technologies in ARMM, the design of giga-scale Battery Cleanrooms, and cleanroom training and education.
Sergio Mauri…
…, a Chemical Engineering graduate from Politecnico di Milano, has been a leading authority in contamination control science since the 1980s. As President of ASCCA, Italy's foremost association for contamination control technologies and a member of the ICCCS, he has played a pivotal role in advancing cleanroom and biocontamination technologies. With expertise in bio-decontamination systems, aseptic isolation, and GMP robotics, Mauri is recognized both in Italy and internationally for his contributions to pharmaceutical and biotech industries, as well as his dedication to education and global standardization efforts.
