How can the concrete implementation of the circular economy look like?

27 Nov 2024

Why is a circular economy necessary, and where do we currently stand? In times of rising demand and increasingly intensive raw material consumption, it becomes clear that our current economic system is contributing to significant environmental problems. Challenges such as resource scarcity, rising CO₂ emissions, and pollution make it necessary to take new paths – and this is exactly where the circular economy comes in.

Franziska Erber will highlight the core concept of the circular economy at the "House of Energy Congress" during Light + Building 2024: preserving the value of products and materials as much as possible at the end of their use phase. Through strategies like recycling, reuse, and extending the life cycle of products, significant savings in resources and a reduction in global emissions can be achieved. You will learn through practical examples how companies and organizations are already implementing these principles and the progress society is making towards a more sustainable economy.
