Impulse: Industrialised construction - from the construction site to the production line

4 Apr 2025

How can the construction industry become future-ready? This presentation provides food for thought on new approaches to planning and building – with a focus on industrial processes, digital solutions, and the potential of real systemic change.

The construction sector is facing structural challenges: a growing shortage of skilled workers, stagnating productivity, and traditional processes reaching their limits. In this ISH 2025 presentation, it becomes clear why industrial methods, long established in sectors like automotive, must also gain traction in the building industry. Using clear comparisons and practical examples, the talk explains why a shift in thinking is necessary – toward serial construction, product-based procurement, and more digitized workflows. It encourages a critical look at existing structures and explores possible paths toward a more resilient and efficient construction sector.
